Previously, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae was believed the only pathogen causing swine enzootic pneumoniae (SEP). Recent years, several reports indicated that M. hyorhinis also caused SEP, and arthritis and polyserositis. Pigs infected with M. hyopneumoniae or M. hyorhinis show apparent retarded growth, and cause serious economic losses. In this study, single dosage of bivalent M. hyopneumoniae and M. hyorhinis bacterins was developed to test the efficacy against these two pathogens. The results showed that one injection of single dosage of bivalent bacterins had good efficacy against M. hyopneumoniae and M. hyorhinis challenge.
