The 13th National Innovation Award in the Academic Research Category

The research team leading by Dr. Jiunn-Horng Lin, the director of Animal Vaccine Development Center (also the vice president of Agricultural Technology Research Institute), was awarded the 13th National Innovation Award in the Academic Research Category yesterday.

The awarded invention is Mycoplasma hyorhinis subunit vaccine. Mycoplasma hyorhinis is one of swine mycoplasmal pneumonia pathogen causing serious economic losses in the pig industry. The research team developed not only subunit vaccine, but also the diagnostic ELISA kit. Using Mycoplasma hyorhinis subunit vaccine and diagnostic tool will effectively prevent the infection of Mycoplasma hyorhinis and increase the production in pig farm.

林俊宏博士研究團隊榮獲第13屆國家新創獎

動物疫苗開發中心主任(暨農科院副院長)林俊宏博士研究團隊以研發全球唯一的豬鼻黴漿菌次單位疫苗成果，榮獲第13屆國家新創獎的肯定。

豬鼻黴漿菌是豬黴漿菌性肺炎的病原之一，造成養豬業者嚴重經濟損失。林俊宏博士研究團隊致力於研發全球唯一的豬鼻黴漿菌次單位疫苗。於研發疫苗之過程中，亦開發豬鼻黴漿菌抗體檢測試劑套組，可作為疾病監控或評估疫苗效力的有效工具。豬鼻黴漿菌次單位疫苗與抗體檢測試劑套組之結合運用，將可有效防治豬鼻黴漿菌之感染，有助於提升養豬產業之產值。
